Quick Start

Follow these steps the first time you use the Talkid device.

Warning

Before a child uses Talkid, read Safety and Warnings.

1. Set up and pair your Talkid

Pair your Talkid with the Talkid app on a smartphone. This lets a parent or approved adult manage the Talkid, and lets your child talk to approved contacts.

Note

Talkid needs Wi-Fi to talk with friends and approved adults.

2. Make your first call

  1. Make sure the Talkid is connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the main menu.
  3. Choose the friend, parent, or approved adult you want to contact.
  4. Press and hold the Push-To-Talk (PTT) button - the big orange button on the right-hand side of the Talkid - to start the call.
  5. While holding the PTT button, speak clearly toward the Talkid.
  6. Release the PTT button to end the call.

Tip

For the first call, stay near your child and help them choose the right contact.
